Amateur Boxing

Amateur Boxing is a combat sport in which two people wearing protective gloves and head guards, will learn the noble art of self-protection using your hands. Each person will be taught footwork, pad work to develop slick skills, fantastic fitness and core strength with the option to learn how to throw, dodge, block and weave punches in a light controlled environment(optional sparring classes available).

Pro Boxing is for people who want to go the next level in boxing, being much more advanced than the amateur side of the sport. Advance techniques, boosted levels of fitness and ultimate body conditioning is achieved. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

Brazilian jiu-jitsu(BJJ), promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger, heavier assailant by using proper technique, leverage, and most notably, taking the fight to the ground, and then applying joint-locks and choke holds to defeat the opponent. Michael Russell BJJ training can be used for sport BJJ and grappling tournaments but is also excellent for self-defence situations.

Muay Thai is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This physical and mental discipline is known as “the art of eight limbs” because it utilises the use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. We have beginners and also have separate sparring classes for those who want to step in the ring and compete. Thai is fantastic for fitness and self-defence

Taekwondo 태권도, is a Korean martial art of self-defence characterised by its emphasis on dynamic, jumping and spinning kicks, and explosive kicking techniques. Embedded is tradition and discipline, this art is ideal for enhancing focus and concentration whilst building self-esteem and self-defence.
We have both adult or junior classes available and the chance to compete all over the world. MMAX Taekwon-do Instructors have developed World, European and hundreds of national champions are are amongst the very best Instructors.

K-1 Kickboxing

K-1 Kickboxing is at present one of the World’s most explosive kickboxing disciplines. Combining Thai boxing low kicks and knees, pro boxing hands and dynamic Taekwon-do techniques. Its prime effectiveness is very much based on pressure, speed and power. People who regularly participate will love the high level of fitness obtained and it is enjoyed by both men and women. We also have separate sparring and advance classes for those who want to step in the ring and compete in regular fight shows around the world.

Mixed martial arts is a combat sport that develops striking and grappling skills, both standing and on the ground. This evolving art using techniques from many other combat and martial arts styles such as Thaiboxing, boxing, Taekwon-do, BJJ and wrestling. PT’s are becoming more popular for people who want private lessons or to get fit at a time that suits them. There are very little normal or set times nowadays, so PT’s are the best answer.
